I never was one of those women that swooned over Paul Newman in his movie days, but I have come to trust his gourmet food products, esp his candy. I have tried several of his organic candy products and this is one of the best. It's not as sweet as Reese's Cups, and a little drier, but I love the chocolate to PNB ratio. It's more of a piece of quality chocolate with a little PNB stuff, rather than the Reeses version of lots of PNB with a light coat of cheap chocolate. The chocolate is smooth and delicious, not too dark or sweet, just right. They are packaged well, 3 smaller cups fitted into a molded plastic tray in a heavy foil lined wrapper. They were packaged so well, in fact, that I recently found 3 pkgs I had bought on clearance (so already a bit aged) and opened them 8 months later and they were still good. So delicious, actually, that I decided to write this review. If you are expecting an organic version of Reeses's PNB Cups, you will be disappointed, but Newman's definitely tops the charts where 'health-food' candy is concerned (some of which can be kinda nasty), this is the best "healthy" candy I have found so far. Wouldn't mind continuing an official search, though! Really want to try his sweet dark chocolate with orange oil! FYI-I recently read that chocolate is one of those food items that organic is important due to how chocolate is processed. So..chocoholics, go organic!

When I was incarcerated in a Mexican prison, this was the only drink in the joint. We had to fix it with goat's milk and heat it over an open flame in the yard. The taste is awful. It's not pleasing like the thick, hot Chocolate found in Madrid.
Customer Review: A few corrections
I just wanted to correct what some of the other reviews are saying: A. It's not an "acquired" taste, that kids will probably not like: I grew up with Ibarra, it was a once in a blue moon treat. I loved it as a kid and preferred it to Swiss Miss or Nestle or any other hot chocolate. B. Although I'm sure you can make Ibarra hot chocolate with a blender I have never once seen someone make it like that. It's really simple: Take two wedges and melt them in a cup or so of milk (any kind) or water and just whisk it or use a wooden spoon. Ibarra is may favorite hot chocolate. I've introduced others to it and they've never had a bad thing to say!

These are the best protein bars I've ever had. High protein to calorie ratio and low sugar content. Very good if your trying to get protein with few calories. They are also the best tasting I've ever had. However, the price on Amazon is unbelievable. I buy this exact carton of 5-6Oz bars for $1.89 at my local grocery store. Don't buy these off Amazon, but they are definitely worth buying at a store with reasonable prices.

The Dark Chocolate Toasted Walnut Caramel does not stop with chocolate and walnut. We added a hint of ancho chili to give the caramel a slight smoky flavor which enhances the roasted walnut flavor. When we added paprika to the recipe, it deepened the rich brown color from the dark chocolate and adds shine. To top it all the Fleur de Sel works a subtle magic on caramel, deepening and brightening all the flavors. I ordered these along with a salt order from Das Foods. The flavors were very complex and mixed well. I ordered this along with the candied ginger and pistacho, although that flavor was nice also, I did enjoy this one more. Packaging simple and appealing. Service was excellent, Ms. Das inculded a coupon for 10 percent off any future purchases that was signed by her also, along with samples of a couple other caramel flavors, a nice touch indeed. Shipping speed was impressive also. Great service and product. I also recommend most of their gourmet salt products too, please do give them a try if you enjoy such a thing.

I received these for Valentine's Day--these are sweet little gems of chocolate and nut. I typically don't like nuts in my chocolate--but with these caramels I have made an exception! There are many layers of flavors--I am a fan of European chocolate--and these were just as satisfying. I loved them so much I have ordered boxes for my sister and mother.

I love chocolate extract, and I'm so happy to have found a source that is cheaper than the outlets I normally buy from. One warning: Chocolate Extract only boosts the chocolate notes of products already containing some kind of chocolate or cocoa powder. Used in non chocolate baking, it brings a boost of flavor that may make someone ask "what is that I'm tasting?". They may recognize chocolate, but you don't have to tell them what it is!

I'm thrilled with this extract. I ordered it on a Tuesday night and had it by Friday afternoon. It came wrapped nicely in plenty of bubble wrap and tissue paper and was accompanied by a nice little note from the seller thanking me for my order. It smells wonderful. It smells just like cocoa powder, and I use it in all my baked goods and even savory foods. Added to gravy it gives it that little something extra, and it's phenomenal in whipped cream, cookies, brownies, sweetbreads, cakes, even coffee and hot chocolate. It's not a sweet extract so it gives some depth to foods without adding additiona sugar. I will definitely be ordering this in the future and definitely ordering from this merchant again. I am very impressed with the quality and the customer service provided!

I ordered these cookies on a whim I don`t usually order food from anywhere since i like to bake cookies myself but i wanted a break this year so i brought these,we received these cookies on time and the packaging was really pretty,the cookies were really soft and really big,a little too rich for me i don`t eat sweets too often,but my kids loved them,i really enjoyed them as well just in small doses,bottom line the cookies were delicious,soft,very sweet and fresh and i would buy them again.I would have given them five stars but the price is kind of high for my taste.

I've only recently begun to branch out in my tea selections from fruity teas to dessert teas. I don't like sweeteners in my tea, and I was afraid that teas that were meant to taste like desserts would have to taste as if they were sweetened. Thankfully I was wrong! I've now tried several of Adagio's dessert teas and they are wonderful- chocolate is one of the best. The flavor of this tea is strong, and it tastes unmistakably of chocolate. But thankfully, somehow, it does not taste as thought it is has been sweetened with sugar. It's amazing- I have no idea how Adagio manages it, but the taste is smooth, rich, creamy chocolate, just not sugary. This works beautifully as an after-dinner tea, and it fulfills my need for dessert after dinner (well, most of the time). I think it is excellent with a splash of milk. I didn't really know what to expect from this tea flavor-wise, but I am very, very pleased. This is a high quality loose tea. It always brews a nice cup for me. I'll certainly be buying more.
